the stronghold
The Stronghold
His greatest desire is for you to be the best that you can be in Him, His strength undergirding your weakness. Note see the post for reference to being in Him
strong·hold
ˈstrôNGˌhōld/
noun
plural noun: strongholds
Reoccurring destructive habits that ultimately lead to one's demise are strongholds.
Spiritually speaking, Paul defines strongholds as an “argument or high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God”. A stronghold is a point of operation from where Satan can keep the unbeliever captive or the believer incapacitated. See 2nd Corinthians below.
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
I gave you different meaning from different sources because I wanted to point out keywords like,
fortified, strongly defended, reoccurring, destructive habits. We can include the word paralyzing in this list as well.
This battle takes place in the mind and most writer basically use the same scripture to combat this affliction
Eph 6:10-18, 2cor 10:4-6 Rom 12:2, Eph 5:26-27
How are they formed,
1. Strongholds are built upon deception and error. they can start the minute you began to understand and to reason.
2. Negative comment directed at you, rejection from others, repeated failure, intense fear, abuse, trauma.
3. parents, teachers, peers, classmates, relatives, and spirits or demons, can all be the catalyst
That was a just a quick overview of the subject, now let us get practical
This message isn't for babies, you need to know yourself, and your weaknesses. You need to know your enemy and how to recognize his influences in your day to day operations. You need to know how to correctly identify a stronghold and not just the symptom, the enemy will come at you sideways, just fighting symptom and never the root cause. This may help for a season but that thing will rear its ugly head again and again. Most stronghold will show out just when God is ready to promote you or bless you or is asking you to move on his behalf. If an issue arises at that time or a weakness, one you have seen before time and time again this may be a stronghold. if it is a Negative thought, feeling, emotion, anxiety, lust, debilitating regret, or sinful desires.
1. Use the word,2. ask the father to reveal the root, 3. walk by faith and not your emotion4. Satan produces negativity and God is always positive. 5. Know yourself and how to recognize who is influencing you
6. take authority, and walk in it.

For the newbie
This Process for you starts with learning God's word, Asking God to reveal those areas to you. He will do it when you are ready. Growing in grace is a process, Lean how to trust in God he knows you better than you do. Don't get frustrated if you fall short. The fact that you are moving forward is a victory. God knows your end so nothing you do will change that fact. God loves you with and everlasting love and that's all the love you are going to get. Let me say it another way with scriptures:
Jer 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Jer 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
1Jo 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
He doesn't have love but is love.
Ro 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
His greatest desire is for you to be the best that you can be in Him, His strength undergirding your weakness. Note see the post for reference to being in Him

Miracles VS Blessing
I am posting this blog directly from Andrew Wommack's website. He did a much better job then I would have. The only thing I don't agree with is, I will keep praying for miracles because I can't predict the future and because we are in a war. We will need every weapon at our disposal.
I am posting this blog directly from Andrew Wommack's website. He did a much better job then I would have. The only thing I don't agree with is, I will keep praying for miracles because I can't predict the future and because we are in a war. We will need every weapon at our disposal.
Blessing and Miracles
by Andew Wommack
It’s true that we serve a God of miracles. But brace yourself, because what I am going to say about that will come as a total shock to some of you. The Lord’s preference is not to meet your needs through a miracle.
Now before you think I’ve lost all my faith, hear me out. I define a miracle as the suspension or superseding of natural laws, and personally, I’ve received many. There is no doubt in my mind that the Lord performs miracles and uses them like a bell to draw people unto Himself.
But let me ask you, would you rather receive a miracle of healing or live with the blessing of good health? Would you rather have the Lord perform a miracle to pull you out of bankruptcy or be so blessed financially that He wouldn’t have to? I think the logical answer to both of those questions is obvious.
It’s always better to avoid problems, which is the result of living in blessing, than it is to be delivered out of them, which requires a miracle.
There are three important reasons for receiving from God through blessings rather than miracles. First, blessings prevent crises, while miracles deliver from crises. Second, a blessing is always a more abundant supply than a miracle. And third, miracles are a temporary fix, while blessings are permanent solutions. Therefore, if you’re living from miracle to miracle, it probably means you’re living from crisis to crisis.
God’s original intent for His creation was to function under His blessing instead of a miracle. If sin hadn’t corrupted God’s creation, there would be no need for miracles. Everyone would be healthy, everyone would be prosperous, and strife, the cause of broken relationships and wars, wouldn’t even exist.
Unfortunately, there is corruption in the earth, and there will always be a place for miracles. However, Jesus not only forgave us of our sins, He redeemed us from the curse and placed blessings on His followers.
Galatians 3:13 says, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.”
If we will believe we are blessed and act accordingly, we can avoid many of the problems that make us candidates for miracles.
Let me illustrate. Some believers pray for financial miracles but aren’t practicing the principle of giving and will not work. They know God loves them, so they’re counting on and believing for a miracle. And that’s just what it will take. They aren’t obeying God’s Word in faith, so they can’t receive the blessing God has spoken over them.
The Lord told us to work so that He would bless the work of our hands and that if we would give, it would be given unto us.
We read in 2 Thessalonians 3:10, “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.”
Deuteronomy 28:12 reads, “The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.”
Luke 6:38 says, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
If we don’t obey Him in these commands, it’s either because of ignorance or we don’t fully trust His promises. That doesn’t mean the Lord hates us, but it means our unbelief is stopping the blessing He has spoken from coming to pass in our lives.
So, lack of faith in God’s blessing causes us to enter into crisis, and right before disaster, if we continue steadfast in our belief for a miracle, we receive just enough to get us over the hump. Then next month we need another miracle. I know this drill from experience.
One of the greatest mistakes of my life was believing that to be a full-time minister, I had to quit working a secular job. It wasn’t that I minded working; I’ve been a hard worker all my life and I enjoy it. I honestly thought I had to make a choice, that I couldn’t do both.
It took years for the Lord to get through my stubbornness and teach me I could work to supplement my income until the ministry grew. In the meantime, Jamie and I suffered a lot of financial crises, unnecessarily.
Because the Lord loved us, He kept us alive with a lot of miracles. I remember the week before our first son was born. We didn’t have the money to pay the expenses. Miraculously, a Bible study group from nearly 100 miles away sent us all we needed to pay for the birth, just in time.
The day of Joshua’s birth, I ran out of gas and pulled into a service station. Without any money and not knowing what to do, I started filling my tank
believing God would perform a miracle. (Please don’t do this—I’m not recommending it; it’s just what I did.)
I didn’t know it when I pulled in, but while I was filling my tank, the owner came out, and as it turns out, he was a Christian friend. He asked how I was doing. I told him about Joshua just being born, and he said, “Well, let this tank of gas be on me in celebration of his birth.” Thank You, Jesus!
On another occasion, we went to the grocery store with $7 and came home with three large grocery sacks of meat and other food. Another miracle. Once, our car ran for a week without gas. The block even cracked because we didn’t have enough antifreeze, and yet it didn’t leak water. On and on, I could go. We experienced miracles all the time.
Many years later I was thinking about all those miracles, and I began to be a little concerned. It had been years since I’d seen miracles like that in our finances. As I pondered this, the Lord spoke to me and said, “Would you like to go back to living by miracles, or would you rather live in the blessings you now enjoy?” That was a no-brainer. I’d rather be blessed than in need of a miracle. When I need gas now, I just pull in, fill up, and buy it. Thank You, Jesus!
Because miracles are “unnatural,” they are never permanent. The Lord created laws that govern the operation of His creation. He sometimes, temporarily, supersedes them, but always returns the situation back to the natural operation of those laws.
For instance, if we abuse our bodies, we can receive a miracle of healing. But if the root of the problem isn’t dealt with, the sickness or infirmity will return, and we’ll need another miracle.
But when we believe God’s Word and follow its instructions, it will teach us how to eat, exercise, and enjoy emotional health that works like a medicine (Prov. 17:22). The Lord would rather keep you healthy through His blessing than to heal you by a miracle.
And, unlike miracles, once a blessing is received, no outside force can stop it:
“Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it” (Num. 23:20).
The only thing that can stop the blessing of God in our lives is our unbelief. What a powerful truth. Balaam’s curse couldn’t stop the blessing that was on the nation of Israel. The blessing received in faith will always trump the curse.

Life in the spirit part 4
Steps needed to fine tune your hearing
1. your need to know Gods word, He and His word are one. If you know what he says, you won't be lead astray.
2. Faith in God, You have to trust him, because fear will attack you. your absolute trust in him will propel you forward.
3. Know that he loves you unconditionally. His love for you goes beyond your understanding and comprehension.
you will need revelation knowledge to grasp these first three. So start praying and asking God to open up your understanding.
There is a place in your walk where you will become intimate with the knowledge of these 3 areas when you reach this place you will know, that you know.
4. You need to live above your emotions, we walk by faith (the substance that created creation)
Faith in Him, faith in your savior's unconditional love for his people and for you. Everything he does is motivated by love because He is love.
5. God wants you to enjoy life. He came that you might have life and that you have it more abundantly. Life is to be joyful or filled with joy. you need to understand this principal. God's not a tyrant ready to whomp you in the head at the first mistake. He knew you before you were saved, He knew all the good and all the bad you would ever do. So repent and move on, you can't go back and change things. Your sins have been separated as far as the east is from the west.
6. Grace and mercy has been given to us so we need to be like him and give grace and mercy to others, share the love that he has given to you with others.
7. Do your best, when performing a task, be perfect, do your best, ask for help, and believe.
and don't procrastinate
and don't procrastinate
8. ask to be lead by the spirit.
If you do all the above, you will be surprised how much you are hearing. remember everything he does is motivated by love.
9. God always operates in truth,, no deception, no little white lies, tell the truth. Jesus said I am the way the truth in the life,,
10. Do what you say, be a person of integrity, do the right thing all the time.
11. Declare what God says, meditate on what God says, He and his word are one
Remember, If it not done in love, it's not God, it's as simple as that.
God has given you the mind of the Spirit, If you do the above, you're being lead by the spirit.
Your flesh is selfish it doesn't want to serve God. Sela

Procrastination
Procrastination the blessing killer, the anointing is now, and not later, so move, be in place to receive your blessing. Faith can move mountains but to many Procrastinate and miss their season. I know this personally. Sela

Life in the spirit
Let us make it personal now, the Holy Spirit is a person, not a thing, or a tool, or in it. He is GOD just as much GOD as the Father and Jesus are. In fact you are closer to him than you are to the others in a technical sense, Because he dwell within you, But you also Dwell within him. He is the anointing, the super in our natural, the friend and comforter, we could say he is the mother of the Godhead. The one who kisses your scrapes and bruises, the one who tucks you in bed at night, the one who prepares your meal, or opens your understanding of Gods word. He's the one who gave you instruction and insight into your daily activities. He is the one most affected when you sin, He can grieve when we reject his unction. His love fluids through us and out to others as we serve mankind, His joy straighten us when we are in need of help, His abilities empowers us to be more then we can be naturally, He completes us, combining divinity with humanity. He will help you to remember, He will help you find things that a lost. All of those fruits in the book of Galatians come from him, for your perfection and others benefits. Most importantly He is the seal of Gods promise that you have been redeemed. If you don't know him, it is time you do. Ask him to speak to your heart, and give you the ability to hear. Ask him to help with any situation and be willing to follow his path, not yours.
He is love so don't be afraid to ask, he came to serve so that we could serve by his example. Step out into the realm of miracles

Life in the Spirit
It starts with humility, it not you,but he who has deposited in you the ability to do and to accomplish anything that is within the parameters or that is in accordance with his will.
John 15:
1 ¶ I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9 ¶ As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.
18 ¶ If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
26 ¶ But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
One more Scripture
Gal 5:
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
We are also told we walk by faith
2Co 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
We are also told we walk by faith
2Co 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
The word I want to focus on here is peripateo and is define as:
1) to walk
1a) to make one’s way, progress; to make due use of opportunities
1b) Hebrew for, to live
1b1) to regulate one’s life

2b3) to know how, to be skilled in
2c) to have regard for one, cherish, pay attention to (#1Th 5:12)
Bare with me I need to share these references. because a life in the spirit is about a relationship with God but it also a relationship with faith, And you need to walk in both just as Jesus did. Their are other Fruits but Faith appears to be the most understood and most misunderstood.
I can't stress it enough, if you are not in control of your emotion, you will be defeated sooner or later,
it is a fact: your fall will effect your relationship, your failure will block your blessing, it can lead to depression, worthlessness, and guilt. I can go on and on but you get the point. (see my post on faith)
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
there are two roads, one is ruled by emotion, this is where Satan is empowered through negative emotion, which feeds unbelief. The other road is faith, where God can be found. this is where you decide, you make a decision, in-spite of the circumstances, I call it the High Life, observe those a round you, listen to what they say, you began to see more clearly. Is it faith or emotions that controls their life. Faith is the cure for most of their woes, instead of magnifying God through faith, they magnify the problem through negative emotions.
The Spirit of God will guide us into all truths, Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Ps 86:11 Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
Truth is next topic in a life in the Spirit. I going to use a Political party in the US to prove a point, I not trying to favor one over the other but I am proving a point. If you listen to the Republicans, the President of the US. has never done anything right or good and everything bad that has happens is his fault, and O! he lies. Is this a statement true?
I guess it Depends on who you listen too,
Let us deal with reality, the President has done some good things and he has done some bad things, we has made some good decision and some bad ones, some thing are his fault and other are not, he has probably told some lies, but not all the time.
Back to my point, the aforementioned party claim to be the party that uphold Christian values and yet its representatives practice deception to promote and agenda. The same came be said about some of our brother and sister in ministry, They practice deception to manipulate God's people into doing what they want. Have you ever read the book of Jude. We are to walk in truth just like the Spirit who is referred to as the Spirit of Truth. Lying is unacceptable! period.
Note: if you have practiced deception and it didn't grieve your spirit, there is something wrong. Seed time and harvest, if I plant corn seed I get corn, what happens if I practice deception, way wouldn't I reap deception.
Lies are the results of fear, self promotion, and lack of faith or trust in God.. (See my notes on truth and integrity)
1Jo 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
God is love, love die on the Cross, Love covered your sins, Love provides use with our daily needs. God is love. Love is active, a verb. The concept of love from and Emotional perspective, is false.
If I tell you, I love you,and do nothing to help you, is that love? what did James say
James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
This principle applies let read John
John14:
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
Love has to be back up by action (see love post)
Personal experience
In the beginning of my relationship it was more emotionally driven but in later years it has become more faith based
My experience
I was floored with ecstasy: an overpowering emotion or exaltation , a state of sudden intense feelings
that the only why I know how to explain it:
Take the greatest moment in your life and multiply it by infinity or your ability to handle the flood of excitement filling your body, Perfect love, goodness, joyousness, righteousness, peace, contentment filling you to the point where it becomes overwhelming. I had to ask God to stop, because it was more then I could handle, that what it like to be in the presents of God and this mortal shell.
His love for us is the same way except it is not limited by mortal flesh, and as you witness to other with the spirit you begin to feel that same love motivating you.
I wish I could tell I was walking at that level all the time but I am not, Remember I told you I am moving more into the realm of faith where I make the decision without the emotion attachment.
Joy: is a state of mind, brought on by being confidant in the Greater one, a walk with God begins with knowing he is there with you through any circumstance. knowing this give one confidence that their Father has everything under control. remember I told you it a life of faith, and faith is base on a decision not emotions. the knowing of these truths brings the Joy, and peace, and patience, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. Our Joy also does not depend upon our merits or accomplishments, but on his, who was perfection incarnate. His Grace make our joy possible his unmerited favor
Grace:
His grace is his expression of his great love for us, and it is constantly flowing
His Grace is the do that in us to help us over come any situation.
Phip 4:
6 Be careful for, nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
10 ¶ But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Joyful heart praises the lord
When you praise you magnifying the lord.
Praise humbles you
the spirit protect and influences you to do good
psa 223 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
Heb 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
1Co 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
