Faith in God.

There are so many lecture and preacher and seminar on faith, yet still so many people miss the mark. Why? because they are fighting spiritual forces in a natural bodies. First we all know that faith comes by hearing and reading the word, second by spending quality time with God, (through prayer and Fasting). We've been told that the opposite of faith is fear. I personally believe fear is a symptom of a greater disease called negative emotions.  But the point I want to establish today is, that God is the author and finisher of our faith. Just like you believed in your salvation, you can believe in his faith. There have been so many time when I just didn't have the capacity to believe for something  and I knew it, (I am referring to knowing that you know kind of  faith). So I would confess my inability to God and ask the spirit to under-gird me, "2Co 12:9  And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."  He always does and his faith takes me over the top, thus my need is met. He wants to help you. Why? because it brings you joy and in your joy, you praise and glorify Him. This in turn, inspires you to testifies to others about His goodness.  One problem I've have learnt over the years is that faith work directly with hope, . what is hope

webster 1828 edition:  HOPEnoun [Latin cupio.]

1. A desire of some good, accompanied with at least a slight expectation of obtaining it, or a belief that it is obtainable. hope differs from wish and desire in this, that it implies some expectation of obtaining the good desired, or the possibility of possessing it. hope therefore always gives pleasure or joy; whereas wish and desire may produce or be accompanied with pain and anxiety.

I know I misted at time believing with desire or confessing with desire and not with hope. hope has that expectation. Your faith targets that expectation, provided it in his will.

God Bless.PS See the lecture on Faith Revisited not emotions for additional aid.

Sanctification the ongoing process

Sanctification is related to your obedience, If the Spirit of God
ask you to do something, do you obey? If he ask you to witness to your friends
do you? If he ask you to give to someone in need, do you? if asked to pray do you?
or if he ask you to be more loving and caring toward others do you?
Every-time you obey, you act more like Jesus. Thus the process of Sanctification is at work.
 I hope this helps

Faith needs the right target

This is from a Pastor friend of mine
Samuel Oluwatayo

LIFE LESSON FROM THE ANT....
One Sunday morning, a wealthy man sat in his balcony enjoying sunshine and his coffee when a little ant caught his eye which was going from one side to the
other side of the balcony carrying a big leaf several times more than its size. The man watched it for more than an hour. He saw that the ant faced many
impediments during its journey, paused, took a diversion and then continued towards destination.
At one point the tiny creature came across a crack in the floor. It paused for a little while, analyzed and then laid the huge leaf over the crack, walked over
the leaf, picked the leaf on the other side then continued its journey.
The man was captivated by the cleverness of the ant, one of God’s tiniest creatures. The incident left the man in awe and forced him to contemplate over the
miracle of Creation. It showed the greatness of the Creator. In front of his eyes there was this tiny creature of God, lacking in size yet equipped with a brain
to analyze, contemplate, reason, explore, discover and overcome. Along with all these capabilities, the man also noticed that this tiny creature shared some
human shortcomings.
The man saw about an hour later the creature had reached its destination – a tiny hole in the floor which was entrance to its underground dwelling. And it was
at this point that the ant’s shortcoming that it shared with the man was revealed. How could the ant carry it into the tiny hole the large leaf that it had
managed to carefully bring to the destination? It simply couldn’t!
So the tiny creature, after all the painstaking and hard work and exercising great skills, overcoming all the difficulties along the way, just left behind the
large leaf and went home empty-handed.
The ant had not thought about the end before it began its challenging journey and in the end the large leaf was nothing more than a burden to it. The creature
had no option, but to leave it behind to reach its destination. The man learned a great lesson that day.
Isn’t that the truth about our lives?
We worry about our family, we worry about our job, we worry about how to earn more money, we worry about where we should live – 5 bedroom or 6 bedroom house,
what kind of vehicle to buy – a Mercedes or Honda or BMW or a Porsche, what kind of dresses to wear, all sorts of things, only to abandon all these things
when we reach our destination – The Grave.
We don’t realize in our life’s journey that these are just burdens that we are carrying with utmost care and fear of losing them, only to find that at the
end they are useless and we can’t take them with us.
***May God give us the ability to gather the deeds that would be usefull to us in our graves and beyond.

Too many believers focus their faith on the Journey and not on the final destination.

Faith

Faith is a spirit and an ally, learn how to use this perfect gift that the father has given you, bind up doubt and release faith, before you wage war on the enemy. Belief is the key, learn the difference between it and your emotional highs. Yelling louder without faith is just a lot of noise. I say it again, we walk by faith and not by our emotions.  To many preacher can't seem to separate the two, They have to feel something before the presents of God can be authenticated, then they back it up with the preaching and faith teaching to validate the message. Feeling good has it place but Faithing good is so much better.  Note faithing good doesn't even exist in our language yet we are suppose to be people of faith. You don't have to go on the battle field and fight the enemy on his terms; that is why your father gave you faith, so that you could fight the good Fight on God's terms. Without the emotion connection Satin doesn't have anything. Faith can see, it knows, and it wins every time. God Bless
